A/C Electrical Hazard

We inspected an A/C Electrical Hazard during one of our service calls. A local customer was experiencing no air conditioning so they called us. The photo below shows what we found after removing the panel cover. The electrical contactor is burnt along with the outer coating of the wires. Upon further inspection, however, the part looked new!

The homeowner decided to do this work himself by buying the parts after watching it on Youtube. Fortunately there was not a combustible fire that could have had severe consequences.

There may be some things that you can do yourself. See my Blog: https://mountainairaz.com/do-it-yourself-inspection/

Troubleshooting, Repairing, and Replacing A/C parts and equipment is NOT Recommended!
